Abstract

France was the frst among the european countries who started to develop leasing as a fnancing method, and the frst one in the world who had done the law on leasing. Evolution and development of leasing in this country is very closely conected with the legal regime. Franch law has treated leasing operation as credit bail (investment or credit hire). Franch legal solution for fnancial leasing have had speciality concerning purchase option, which was obligatory according to the Law.

This article analysis the specialities of fnancial leasing (credit-bail), distinctions with other leasing business operations, and other hire contracts and the legal regime of this operation, its transformations and evolution.
