ROLE OF THE NON-ALIGNED MOVEMENT IN THE 21st CENTURY

Abstract

International relations from day to day become more complex and varied. The global economic crisis is still raging in the European Union and in the United States, while on the other side of planet, we have a new world superpower ‐ China. The author tries to find out what will be the role of the Non-Aligned Movement in the 21st century, how it will be able to influence the development of the institutions of the United Nations, and how does the idea of non-alignment remains relevant. The author places emphasis on several aspects of international relations: the military-political, economic and ecological.
